Our story started in a world that had slowed down. On line dating during the pandemic meant you were exclusive from the first date. Our early dates were walks outside filled with deep conversations. We fell in love quickly and talked about our future from the very beginning. Ross shared his dream of owning land just outside of Minneapolis, and Kim expressed her desire for marriage and children. We also spoke openly about our age and how that might mean IVF and/or adoption as paths to starting our family.

Eight months later we found our forever home in a community specifically chosen for its wonderful schools and Spanish immersion program. We had our wedding on our property, surrounded by family and friends. After an adventurous honeymoon in Antarctica, we began our journey with IVF which resulted in the birth of our son Matthew but we were unable to have more children after him.

Together we enjoy canoeing, paddle boarding, gardening, hiking as a family, hanging out at the family cabin, cooking, snowshoeing, board games and watching TV once our son is in bed.
