Our story started in a world that had slowed down. Meeting during the pandemic meant our early dates were walks outside filled with deep conversations. We fell in love quickly and talked about our future from the very beginning. Ross shared his dream of owning land just outside of Minneapolis, and Kim expressed her desire for marriage and children. We also spoke openly about our age and how that might mean IVF and/or adoption as paths to starting our family.

Eight months later we found our forever home in a community specifically chosen for its wonderful schools and Spanish immersion program. We had our wedding on our property, surrounded by family and friends. After an adventurous honeymoon in Antarctica, we began our journey with IVF. While that path led us to adoption, it only strengthened our resolve to grow our family.

Together we enjoy canoeing, paddle boarding, gardening, hiking as a family, hanging out at the family cabin, cooking, snowshoeing, board games and watching TV once our son is in bed.
